College Football Week 14 Parlay: Best plays during Rivalry Week
Thanksgiving means Rivalry Week in college football, the final weekend of the regular season for most teams. And with conference championships looming the following weekend, Week 14 holds implications for conference standings and the College Football Playoff picture.
YouBet.com has identified three best bets for a Week 14 CFB parlay, all lines courtesy of BetMGM and times listed as Eastern Standard Time.
CFB Week 14 parlay (+612): Georgia Tech +13.5 - Arizona -1.5 - Pittsburgh +6.5
Georgia vs Georgia Tech, Friday, 3:30 p.m.
Two teams who know each other well. And after being caught looking ahead last week, 9-2 Georgia Tech is capable of a bounce-back performance. One of the nation’s best running quarterbacks, Haynes King, knows how to attack Georgia, throwing for 302 yards, running for 110, and accumulating three TDs in a 44-42 eight-overtime loss last year, and Georgia has shown a propensity for close games this season, with five contests settled by 10 points or less. Bulldogs aren’t as formidable defensively as recent seasons, and only 5-5-1 ATS overall, but Gunner Stockton will have success against Georgia Tech’s deteriorating pass defense in a projected high-scoring affair.
Pick: Georgia Tech +13.5
Arizona at Arizona St., Friday, 9 p.m.
Arizona is surging, averaging 36.8 points per game, winning the last four. Arizona St. has persevered admirably despite being injury-riddled, handing Texas Tech their only loss in midseason, but personnel losses and off-field distractions continue to pile up, and the Sun Devils haven’t faced an opponent with the firepower of Arizona during their current three-game win streak. Noah Fifita has been the difference for the Wildcats, completing 23 of 31 passes for 294 yards and a touchdown in an impressive road win at Cincinnati two weeks ago, and an improving Arizona squad should be primed for their best in a statement game.
Pick: Arizona -1.5
Miami at Pittsburgh, Saturday, 12 p.m.
After being embarrassed by Notre Dame, Pittsburgh rebounded with a physical 42-28 win at Georgia Tech last week. And the Panthers will look to attack a Miami defense that surrendered 194 rushing yards to Virginia Tech last week. Miami was rolling during the first half of the season, playing their first seven games inside Florida, but they haven’t traveled well, losing 26-20 to SMU and failing to cover as heavy favorites in ugly wins at Florida St. and Virginia Tech. The Hurricanes led Virginia Tech 26-17 with nearly two minutes remaining despite being 18.5-point favorites. They lack the explosiveness from earlier in the season, and this promises to be a tricky spot vs a Pitt team that has won six of the last seven.
Pick: Pittsburgh +6.5
