Saturday boxing, UFC action: Super Odds on Pacquiao, Harris

Eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao and unbeaten knockout king Keith Thurman square off in Las Vegas on July 20, on a loaded night of enticing boxing and MMA matchups.

Before the main event, undefeated IBF super middleweight world champion Caleb Plant and undefeated Mike Lee go head-to-head at MGM Grand. Outside of the ring, UFC on ESPN 4 will feature a main card highlighted by Rafael dos Anjos vs. Leon Edwards in the welterweight division, while Aleksei Oleinik will challenge Walt Harris at heavyweight.

Keith Thurman (+140) vs. Manny Pacquiao (-160), 9 p.m., FOX PPV

At age 40, Pacquiao (61-7-2, 39 KOs) is still one of the biggest names in boxing, and he's looking to prove he's still got it against 30-year-old Thurman (29-0, 22 KOs). Aside from having youth on his side, Thurman is two inches taller than Pacquiao, who's 5-foot-5 1/2", and possesses a two-inch reach advantage over the southpaw. Pacquiao's skill set and speed compensate for his stature. He's a slight favorite to claim the WBA welterweight title on the line at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, but Thurman will present a rigorous challenge for Manny.

Super Odds: Plant and Pacquiao to win (was -128), now +150

Caleb Plant (-1925) vs. Mike Lee (+700), 7 p.m., FOX PPV

Undefeated IBF super middleweight world champion Plant (18-0-0, 10 KOs) will attempt to defend his title against Mike Lee (21-0-0, 11 KOs) before Pacquiao-Thurman enter the ring. Five years younger than his opponent, the 27-year-old Plant is a heavy favorite in the match. His previous five fights were won by unanimous decision, including his last match in January against Jose Uzcategui, where he claimed the IBF super middleweight title. Lee, on the other hand, hasn't fought since June of 2018, when he defeated Jose Hernandez to take the vacant NABO light heavyweight title. Saturday's match will also be Lee's first at 168 pounds. The 32-year-old's strength is his ring intelligence, while Plant's advantage is his punching power and quick hands. Plant has also faced much tougher competition in his career, which should give him a mental edge in the fight.

Rafael dos Anjos (+105) vs. Leon Edwards (-130), UFC on ESPN 4

Rafael dos Anjos (29-11) challenges Leon Edwards' seven win streak Saturday at UFC on ESPN 4. The 17-3 Edwards is favored in the match over an aging dos Anjos, who last defeated Kevin Lee by submission in May. Edwards is the No. 12 welterweight in UFC and has a four-inch reach advantage over No. 4 dos Anjos. Dos Anjos moved up to welterweight in 2017 and has since gone 6-2. The Brazilian jiu-jitsu artist is hoping to take down the English striker to earn himself a future title shot.

Super Odds: Edwards to win (was -125), now +125

Aleksei Oleinik (+130) vs. Walter Harris (-160), UFC on ESPN 4

Finally, the No. 9 heavyweight in UFC, Aleksei Oleinik (57-12-1), faces No. 14 Walt Harris (12-7) in the co-main event of UFC on ESPN 4. The 42-year-old BJJ fighter and 36-year-old striker were supposed to fight in May but rescheduled after Oleinik got pulled over to fight Alistair Overeem in a headlining match at UFC Fight Night in April. Oleinik lost that fight via first-round knockout and is on the hunt for a win in his 71st MMA contest. Oleinik has said it could be his last fight. He'll go up against a guy he once helped train to defend against the submission, the very style Oleinik is known for.

Super Odds: Edwards and Harris to win (was -185) now +250
