Keselowski in four-way tie in latest NASCAR Cup Series odds

The NASCAR Cup Series Championship won’t be decided until Nov. 8, but the odds shifted significantly following Sunday’s Supermarket Heroes 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Brad Keselowski, who took the checkered flag on Sunday, saw his odds drop from +800 to +600 to win his second career championship. He now joins Kyle Busch (up from +550), Kevin Harvick (no change) and Chase Elliott (down from +650) as co-favorite to hoist the Bill France Cup at Phoenix this November.
So, should bettors get in on Keselowski now before his odds drop even further, or is there a dark horse that’s offering better value? Let’s investigate below.
Luck has been on Keselowski's side
By his own admission, Keselowski has been a little lucky over the last week. He was the beneficiary of what turned out to be a bad call by Elliott’s crew chief – Alan Gustafson – to forfeit the lead and pit just before overtime of the Coca-Cola 600 on May 24. At Bristol, Keselowski took advantage of a rough-and-tumble battle for the lead between Elliott and Joey Logano that saw the pair crash on Lap 497.
The No. 2 Ford driver has had a solid season overall, with six Top 10s through nine races, but his decrease in odds appears to be an overreaction. At this point, there’s a different driver that intrigues more at a better price.
Keep an eye on Hamlin
Denny Hamlin jumped from +750 to +1000 following a 17th-place finish at Bristol this Sunday. But that result belied the fact that he had an excellent car at "Thunder Valley" that led 131 laps. A spinout on Lap 488, in the midst of a battle for the lead with Logano and Elliott, was the culprit behind Hamlin’s subpar finish.
Of the three drivers that have won multiple races this year (Keselowski and Logano being the other two), Hamlin’s odds are the highest. The No. 11 Toyota driver checked in 20th at Phoenix earlier this year, but he should atone in November as he boasts 13 Top 5 finishes there in 30 prior starts with 821 laps led – fourth among active drivers.
