Nuggets vs. Suns: The best player prop bets for Game 2

Chris Paul is back to giving opposing teams the cold shoulder.

After averaging just 9.2 points in Phoenix’s opening round series against the Los Angeles Lakers, The 11-time all-star erupted for 21 points, 11 assists, and six rebounds in the Suns’ 122-105 win over the Denver Nuggets in Game 1 of their best-of-seven series.

Paul did much of his damage in the fourth quarter, when he went 6-for-6 from the floor and displayed the poise and leadership that has helped to transform these young Suns into a bona fide championship contender.

"It was fun to get out there and be involved," Paul told reporters after the game. "That last series – that was tough – but I'm glad to be back helping the team."

Paul will have a chance to make his mark again tonight when the Suns and Nuggets meet for Game 2 at 9:30 p.m. ET at Phoenix Suns Arena.

Michael Porter Jr. Over/Under 19.5 points

Michael Porter Jr. scored 15 points in Game 1, but he did most of his damage early on before tweaking his back prior to halftime. The 22-year-old forward sported a wrap after the break, and played 13 mostly ineffective minutes over the final two frames.

Denver head coach Michael Malone didn’t sound particularly optimistic when asked about Porter’s condition after the game. "Michael was out there trying to give us everything he could," he said. "I just was concerned with the way he was moving out there, didn’t look right on either end of the floor — trying to run him off screens, trying to get him open knowing that we need his scoring punch."

Porter is listed as questionable for tonight’s game, and should go well Under our oddsmakers’ projected point total as he struggles to get loose and find his groove.

Facundo Campazzo Over/Under 4.5 assists

No one in the Nuggets organization expected Facundo Campazzo to be the team’s lead guard at this point in the season, but that’s the position Denver finds itself in after trading Gary Harris in March and losing Jamal Murray, Will Barton, and PJ Dozier to injury.

To his credit, Campazzo has made the most of his time in the limelight. The crafty Argentinian guard is averaging 10.0 points, 5.3 assists, and 3.4 rebounds in the playoffs, and has dished out five dimes or more in five of his last seven games.

In an ideal world, Campazzo would be riding the pine, but circumstances have made him a starter and he’s flourished in the role. Expect him to hand out another five assists or more tonight while continuing to wow fans with his wildly unconventional play.

Deandre Ayton Over/Under 15.5 Points

Deandre Ayton has looked like a man among boys during his inaugural playoff campaign, and that's saying something considering he's matched up against Andre Drummond, Anthony Davis, and Nikola Jokic. The springy 22-year-old center is averaging 16.4 points and 10.6 rebounds per contest, and has been punishing opposing teams on rim runs. There's nothing particularly fancy about his game, but his ability to get to his spots and dominate in the paint has been a revelation.

Ayton had 20 points on 9-of-13 shooting in Game 1, and should continue to give Jokic fits tonight with his length, athleticism, and hustle. Take the Over and enjoy watching as Ayton puts the Nuggets on a poster.
