Nobody can win alone in the NBA, even someone as incredible as LeBron James. Over the course of the King’s masterful career, he’s positioned himself for maximum success by teaming up with some of the best players in the game.

Here are five of the best teammates LeBron James has ever had.

5. Ray Allen

Already an established legend before he left Boston to join James in Miami, Allen sought another title run and joined the Miami super team in 2012. Allen’s Game 6 heroics in the 2013 NBA Finals pushed the series to a Game 7, and paved the way for James’ second ring. During his time in Miami, Allen shot an astounding 39.7% from three-point range before retiring and the end of the 2013-14 season.

4. Anthony Davis

Though they have only played one season together, the impact Davis has had cannot be ignored. With Davis, James found a player in a similar mold that could offset his decline and serve as a two-way threat that the rest of the league couldn’t handle. When James slacked, Davis was there. This tandem is on the cusp of bringing the first NBA title to Los Angeles in a decade, and they could run it back again next season.

3. Kevin Love

Love had outgrown the Minnesota Timberwolves and was looking to put himself in position to compete. He joined James in his return to Cleveland in 2014, and was a two-time All-Star during their brief time together. Love’s defensive effort in Game 7 of the legendary 2016 NBA Finals helped bring a title to the beleaguered franchise.

2. Kyrie Irving

The 2016 Finals will serve as the greatest achievement of James’ career, and for that, he has Irving to thank. Positioned as the future of the franchise after James first left in 2010, Irving was the kind of player James had clamored for during his initial run. As apparent by Irving’s disappointing turns in both Boston and Brooklyn, Irving was at his best when he was at the side of King James.
