The first two weeks are in the books, and we’ve been surprised by the Colts’ high-powered offense, scoring 62 points in the first two weeks. The Chiefs have gotten out of the blocks slowly at 0-2, while the Packers have confirmed themselves as serious Super Bowl contenders by dominating the Lions and Commanders.
Week 3 features an exciting slate of games, and YouBet.com will look to turn a profit with the following three-team parlay. All lines courtesy of BetMGM, times listed as Eastern Standard Time.
Steelers at Patriots, Gillette Stadium, 1 p.m.
The Patriots are 7-1-1 ATS vs the Steelers since 2013, and Aaron Rodgers is 0-2 ATS in a pair of visits to Foxboro. And the Steelers have carried their momentum forward from the end of last year, displaying no juice as they surrendered 63 points in the first two weeks. After bringing in Mike Vrabel and a lot of new personnel, the Patriots got off to a slow start in Week 1, but they came together while winning at the Dolphins in Week 2. And the Pats figure to keep improving against a Steelers team that can’t stop the run or run the ball effectively.
Pick: Patriots +1.5
Cardinals at 49ers, Levi's Stadium, 4:25 p.m.
Niners forced a late turnover deep inside their own territory to edge Seattle in Week 1 and narrowly held off New Orleans in Week 2, but they’re banged up and will face a stiff run defense. Cardinals’ defense appears legit, holding the first two opponents to a 78-yard average, and the Niners bring out the best in Kyler Murray, who is a stellar 32-17-2 ATS as an underdog in his career. This has been a tough matchup for Kyle Shanahan, who is 2-5-1 ATS vs the Cardinals at home. And while Mac Jones played well vs the Saints without the Niners’ top two receivers, the Cardinals will be able to slow down the backup quarterback.
Pick: Cardinals +1.5
Chiefs at Giants, MetLife Stadium, 8:20 p.m. Sunday
Underdogs are 6-2 ATS in night games this year, and the Giants enter on the upswing, with Russell Wilson completing 30 of 41 passes for 422 yards in Week 2. The defense let them down at the Cowboys, but they will look to get back on track defensively versus a punchless Chiefs offense. And the Chiefs lack the defensive intensity from recent seasons, being dominated in time of possession in the first two weeks. Rookie Cam Skattebo is starting to make an impact for the Giants, and the Chiefs play a lot of close games.
Pick: Giants +6
