Patrick Mahomes takes over as Super Bowl MVP favorite

The Tennessee Titans aren’t just providing upsets in these NFL Playoffs.

Thanks to Tennessee’s stunning Divisional Round win over the Baltimore Ravens, the Super Bowl MVP futures market has been significantly impacted, with Lamar Jackson now out as the favorite and replaced by Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

It sure was nice of the Chiefs to spot the Houston Texans a 24-point lead in Sunday’s Divisional Round. That’s when Mahomes went to work.

He finished the day with 321 yards passing and five touchdown tosses. That's nearly 20% of his touchdown pass total from the regular season.

Mahomes is now the favorite to win Super Bowl MVP.

His odds last week to win the award were +425 at BetAmerica, but with Jackson and the Ravens eliminated, Mahomes’ Super Bowl MVP odds have shifted to +130 as of Tuesday.

The Chiefs are favored (-7.5) at home against the Titans in the AFC Championship game.
