Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence entered the NFL with sky-high expectations when he was selected as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 draft. A top college football prospect out of high school, where he won 41 straight games and two state titles, Lawrence brought a national championship to Clemson in 2019 as a freshman and set a school record for quarterback victories before leaping to the professional ranks following his junior year.
Ahead of the draft, Lawrence was compared to the likes of John Elway, Peyton Manning, and Andrew Luck. Draft expert Mel Kiper Jr. of ESPN also rated him as the fourth-best quarterback he had ever evaluated, behind the three aforementioned QBs.
Now in his third season in the NFL, Lawrence is beginning to fulfill some of those lofty expectations. Through Week 14, he has led the Jaguars to an 8-5 record and the top spot currently in the AFC South, while Jacksonville is a +2500 dark horse to win Super Bowl LVIII.
Below YouBet takes a look at Lawrence's budding career and examines his regular-season and postseason records against every NFL team.

Lawrence vs. the Buffalo Bills
One of Lawrence's most surprising victories came against Buffalo during the 2021 season, when he led Jacksonville to a 9-6 win over the Bills as a 15.5-point underdog â the biggest upset of the season. However, Jacksonville came back down to earth from there, as the Jags went on an eight-game losing streak, while Lawrence threw just two touchdown passes and eight interceptions in that span.
Jacksonville would go on to finish with the NFL's worst record for the second straight year. Lawrence finished second in rookie passing yards (3,641) behind New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones.
In 2023, Lawrence got a rematch with Buffalo, this time in London, and won 25-20 while completing 25 of 37 passes for 315 yards and a touchdown.
Lawrence vs. the Houston Texans
Following surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder, Lawrence got his first career start in Week 1 of the 2021 season against AFC South rival Houston. In a 37-21 loss, he recorded 332 passing yards and three touchdown passes to three interceptions. The defeat was Lawrence's first in a regular-season game for his entire football career.
Lawrence vs. the Indianapolis Colts
Lawrence is 4-2 against division foe Indianapolis and earned his first victory over the Colts in Week 18 of the 2021 season as he went 23-of-32 for 223 yards and two passing scores.
In the season opener of 2023, Lawrence completed 24 of 32 passes for 241 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a 31-21 win over Indy. He later beat the Colts 37-20 in Week 6 but left the game with a sprained left knee.
Lawrence vs. the Kansas City Chiefs
Lawrence is 0-2 against Kansas City in the regular season and most notably suffered his lone playoff loss to date to the Chiefs in the Divisional Round at the end of the 2022 season. Kansas City would go on to win Super Bowl LVII.
In the Divisional Round, Lawrence went 24-of-39 for 217 yards and a score, plus he threw an interception in the 27-20 defeat. It was also his first loss of his football career on a Saturday.
Lawrence was named an alternate to the Pro Bowl at the end of the 2022 season after finishing with 4,113 passing yards, 25 touchdowns, and eight interceptions.
Lawrence vs. the Los Angeles Chargers
In the Wild Card Round following the 2022 season, Lawrence scored his first playoff win over the Los Angeles Chargers despite a rough start. In the first half, he was picked off four times, which helped L.A. build a 27-0 lead near the end of the second quarter. Lawrence turned it around in the second half, however, and went 18-of-23 passing for 211 yards and three touchdown passes to pull off a 31-30 come-from-behind win. It was the third-largest comeback in playoff history.
Lawrence vs. the Miami Dolphins
Lawrence got his first NFL win against Miami in Week 6 of the 2021 season while playing inside Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. With 319 yards and a touchdown in the 23-20 triumph, Lawrence became the first rookie quarterback to win in London. The victory also ended a 20-game losing streak for Jacksonville that dated back to Week 1 of the 2020 season.
Lawrence vs. the Tennessee Titans
Lawrence is 3-2 against divisional rival Tennessee. Among his three victories is a 20-16 win in the final week of the 2022 season in which the Jags clinched their first division title since 2017.
