Odds to Win NFC East in NFL 2025-26 Season

Though it doesn’t look as competitive as it has in previous seasons, the NFC East should still be interesting. Two teams – the Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles – were playoff teams last season, and both have favorable odds to capture the division in 2025-26.
The NFL is a tough league, and things can change exponentially for each of these teams from even last season. The NFL Draft, free agency, and a full offseason of training camps provide a chance for these teams to wipe the slate clean and challenge for the NFC East division crown.
NFC East Division Winner Odds
The beauty of NFL divisional odds is that they can change with each game. The league season is a long one, and divisional odds – whether it be the NFC East, NFC North, AFC East, etc. – are changing all the time. Here is how each of the NFC East division teams stacks up against one another.
Philadelphia Eagles (
)The Philadelphia Eagles have the best NFC East odds for a reason. The Eagles tore through the playoffs last season, besting teams like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers en route to the Super Bowl.
Philly faithful were rewarded as the Eagles won the Super Bowl handily, dominating the Kansas City Chiefs in the process. With one of the most well-constructed teams in the NFL, the Philadelphia Eagles are the safe bet (better than even money) to win the NFC East again.
What the Eagles Do Well
The Philadelphia Eagles play in the only division that has not had a repeat winner in the last 20 years (when the Philadelphia Eagles won their fourth straight division title in 2004). They have the best odds due to their dominant run game with Saquon Barkley and a great passing attack with A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith, making them one of the most dynamic units in sports.
Defensively, the Philadelphia Eagles have a dominant defensive line, easily the best in the NFC East. If the Philadelphia Eagles are to become repeat division winners like the Bills in the AFC East or Lions in the NFC North, they will depend on the dynamic Jalen Carter to dominate.
Where the Eagles Struggle
If there is one area in which the Philadelphia Eagles struggle with teams, it is in the secondary. Against dynamic passing teams like the Dallas Cowboys, the Eagles struggle to stop deep passes. If they can shore up that issue, their odds of winning the NFC East will only improve.
Washington Commanders (
)The Washington Commanders – formerly the Washington Football Team – is one of two NFC East teams with a realistic shot to win the division. They took the NFL by storm a season ago, falling to the Eagles in the NFC Championship Game.
All-world second-year quarterback Jaylen Daniels is back to lead one of the most promising young teams in sports. Washington has surpassed Dallas as the biggest threat to challenge the Eagles in the NFC East.
What the Commanders Do Well
Everything for Washington starts with Daniels. He has the ability to escape pressure and find the open receiver on every play. With an improved offensive line, Washington is a safe bet to be even better offensively, especially with receiver Terry McLaurin signed to an extension.
If it weren’t for the Eagles, Washington might have even money odds to win the division. Dallas and New York are on the way down, and now is the time for Washington to take advantage. If they can defy the odds and topple the Eagles, they could win it all.
Where the Commanders Struggle
The Commanders mostly struggle on the defensive side of things. They are solid and give the offense a chance to win every game. That said, they don’t have the kind of game-changing pass rusher that gives certain teams the best odds to win.
The Commanders will also need to see an improvement in the secondary. They acquired Marshawn Lattimore last season and hope that he can be healthy enough to make a difference this season.
Dallas Cowboys (
)The way they are hyped, you would think the Dallas Cowboys were contending for not only division titles, but Super Bowl titles every season. When you look at the odds, however, the Dallas Cowboys are a middling team with more than steep odds to win the NFC East.
Quarterback Dak Prescott leads one of the best offenses in the division, but the last five years have seen the Cowboys – especially the Cowboys defense – fall short of expectations. The way the Cowboys have been playing in recent years, challenging for an NFL division crown feels like a longshot.
What the Cowboys Do Well
What makes Dallas Cowboys games interesting is their offense. When they win, they are one of the most exciting offenses in sports thanks to Prescott and star receiver CeeDee Lamb. Whether they can outpace a defense that has continued to struggle and stay healthy remains to be seen.
The Cowboys also seem to do well running the ball, no matter who they are handing the ball to. In a division known for running the ball, Dallas manages to keep opponents off guard with their running attack. They might not have what the Philadelphia Eagles do, but teams that sleep on the Dallas Cowboys' running attack will find themselves in trouble quickly.
Where the Cowboys Struggle
On the defensive side of the ball, the Dallas Cowboys may be the worst in the division. To win a Super Bowl, teams have to have a good defense. The Dallas Cowboys, meanwhile, traded away their best player and one of the best pass rushers in the league in Micah Parsons.
It is a safe bet that the Dallas Cowboys will struggle to win games this season because of their defense. The top teams in the NFC East have fierce defenses, making them a safer bet to win the NFC East. Unless the Dallas Cowboys can find contributors defensively, the safe bet is against them to win the division.
New York Giants (
)The biggest longshot bet among NFC East odds easily belongs to the New York Giants. They were the worst team in the division a season ago, and it feels like their live odds get worse as the games go on. They are a mess at quarterback with Russell Wilson, though they hope to have found their future in first-round NFL Draft pick Jaxson Dart.
Their opening odds were a bit more hopeful, but a slow start to the season has already taken them out of the mix. Their opponents will be favored in virtually all of their games this year, creating steep odds for success throughout the NFL season.
What the Giants Do Well
There are two notable bright spots when it comes to the New York Giants. The first is the defensive side of the ball. By drafting Abdul Carter, anyone playing against them should live in fear of their quarterback. He and Kayvon Thibodeaux can wreck an offense, giving the Giants a chance in these games.
The New York Giants also have a young stud at wide receiver in Malik Nabers. The young wide receiver is entering his second season and is easily the focal point of the offense. The Giants have had a great wide receiver or two in their storied history, but Nabers has the chance to be one of the best.
Where the Giants Struggle
A safe bet when talking about NFC East odds is that the Giants will struggle at quarterback. They signed veteran Russell Wilson in the offseason, but the Giants easily have the worst quarterback situation of the four teams. If they are going to win more than four games and contend for division titles again, they need more out of the offense.
The offensive line is still a major concern as well. The New York Giants didn’t do much through free agency or the draft to improve, so it is a safe bet that they will have one of the worst units in the league. Offensively, this is looking much like the same team that struggled to win a season ago.
Who Will Win the NFC East?
Though the Washington Commanders have a lot to love, the safe bet is on the Philadelphia Eagles to win the NFC East in back-to-back seasons. General Manager Howie Roseman has expertly crafted a roster that could win several division titles and challenge to make the Super Bowl each season.
It would be shocking to see the Dallas Cowboys or New York Giants making the playoffs, let alone becoming the NFC East division winner. Both have severe challenges, even without injury concerns. The Giants have had issues at quarterback the last four years, and that looks to continue to impact their odds throughout the season.
