Grizzlies vs. Bulls: The best player prop bets for Feb. 26

Two of the more pleasant surprise teams in the NBA this season – the Memphis Grizzlies and the Chicago Bulls – will square off at the United Center on Saturday night. The Bulls are slight favorites as of Saturday morning, but that could change based on the status of Grizzlies All-Star Ja Morant, who is listed as questionable for this game with a hip injury.

We’ll dive into our three favorite player props on the Chicago side below.

Memphis Grizzlies (41-20) at Chicago Bulls (39-21), 8:00 p.m. ET

DeMar DeRozan Over/Under 30.5 points

DeMar DeRozan has been every Over bettor’s best friend during his incredible recent run, and there’s no reason to think that he’ll slow down on Saturday night.

DeRozan became just the seventh player in NBA history to record eight straight 35+ point games when he took the Atlanta Hawks to task on Thursday (37 points). He’s shot no worse than 50% from the floor during this streak.

Memphis is a modest 13th in opponent field goal percentage this season (45.3%), suggesting that DeRozan will continue to have a hot hand. It’s a big number, but the Over looks like the right side.

Zach LaVine Over/Under 2.5 3-pointers

Zach LaVine has averaged just under three 3-pointers a game this season, but he should be able to overachieve on Saturday night.

LaVine will face off with a Grizzlies defense that’s 18th in opponent 3-point field goal % (35.3%), and will have the benefit of being at home. Memphis allows an additional 1.7 points per game on the road than they do in their own building.

The Over on LaVine points is tempting (23.5), but that might be asking a bit too much from him with DeRozan also slated to have a big game. Count on LaVine to make his shots from downtown here.

Javonte Green Over/Under 4.5 rebounds

Javonte Green has seen increased minutes for the Bulls in February (30.6 per game), and not surprisingly has a monthly high of 11.6 points per game and 5.2 rebounds per game. But prop bettors should be bearish about Green in this one, particularly on the glass.

The Grizzlies are the NBA’s top team in offensive rebounding, and are sixth in defensive rebounding. Nikola Vucevic will have his work cut out for him against Steven Adams and company, not to mention Green.

Though Green is averaging over five rebounds per game in February, he’s failed to reach five boards in five of his last 10 tilts.
