The Denver Broncos – fresh off a shocking 30-16 triumph over the Dallas Cowboys – will try to avoid the same fate at Empower Field at Mile High in Week 10 when they host Jalen Hurts and company.

The Broncos can stymie the Philly rushing attack
The Eagles rely first and foremost on their ground game to generate offense, with Hurts playing a major role in that. The Alabama product leads his team in rushing yards (494), with a trio of tailbacks – namely Kenneth Gainwell, Jordan Howard, and Boston Scott with Miles Sanders on the IR – comprising the NFL’s seventh-leading rush offense (136.6 yards per game).

But the Denver defense appears up to the challenge at home, as they’re sixth in rushing yards allowed per game at 98.3. They held Ezekiel Elliott and the Cowboys to 72 yards on the ground last Sunday. The Broncos are also ninth in rushing yards allowed to quarterbacks this year (12.1 per game).
Hurts will likely have to make some big throws to win this game in the notoriously inhospitable confines of the “Mile High City,” and his overall numbers on the season don’t inspire confidence. He’s 21st in passing yards (1,981), 18th in passer rating (90.9), and 17th in passing touchdowns (11).
Denver ranks eighth in passing yards allowed per game (223.4), third in opponent passer rating (81.5), and tied for fourth in opponent passing touchdowns (11).
Judging Jeudy’s impact on Denver’s offense
Jerry Jeudy doesn’t have a touchdown grab for the Broncos in 2021, but the impact he’s had on his team’s offense cannot be understated.

Jeudy has suited up for three games thus far, hauling in 16 of 19 targets for 180 yards. In those three contests (Weeks 1, 8, and 9), quarterback Teddy Bridgewater produced three of his four highest passer ratings of the season. More importantly, Denver won and covered in all three tilts.
This spells trouble for an Eagles defense that’s fifth-worst in opponent passer rating this season (104.8).
