The best Sunday of the NFL season has finally arrived, with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs set to clash in Super Bowl LV at Raymond James Stadium!

It's finally here.

Shortly before kickoff at 6:30 p.m. ET, Grammy nominated singer Jazmine Sullivan will join country star Eric Church for the singing of the national anthem, while the Weeknd has promised a “cinematic experience” for his Super Bowl halftime show.

The biggest storyline surrounding Sunday’s game, though, is the showdown between last year’s Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes and six-time Super Bowl champion, Tom Brady.

Read below for all the last-minute news and notes surrounding Super Bowl LV, from injury updates to the latest odds movement, and more.

Bettors overwhelmingly back Chiefs in Super Bowl LV

The Chiefs will head into Sunday’s game as a three-point favorite against the Buccaneers.

As of Wednesday, 75% of the money bet on the spread market at TwinSpires’ sportsbook was on the Chiefs -3, despite the Bucs playing on their home field. (Tampa Bay is the first team to compete in a Super Bowl at its home stadium).

The Over/Under for the game is set at 56, and sharp money has been focused on the Under.

Also of note, this is only the second time in Brady’s record 10 Super Bowl appearances that his team is the underdog. The last time that happened, Brady and the New England Patriots defeated the St. Louis Rams (a 14-point favorite) in Super Bowl XXXVI.

Brady also earned his first of a record-setting four Super Bowl MVP awards that year.

Mahomes is the odds-on favorite to win this year’s Super Bowl MVP, while Brady is the second choice.

Chiefs assistant coach Britt Reid to miss Super Bowl

On Thursday night, Chiefs outside linebackers coach Britt Reid, son of Kansas City head coach Andy Reid, was involved in a multi-vehicle accident that injured three people, including children ages 5 and 4.

Britt Reid, the Chiefs’ OLB coach and the son of KC HC Andy Reid, was involved in a multi-car accident Thursday night that left a 5-year-old child with life-threatening injuries, per the team statement and police report.

According to ESPN, Britt was admitted to the hospital with undisclosed injuries. He did not travel with the team to Tampa on Saturday.

Chiefs vs. Bucs injury report

Kansas City has been a dominant force all season, but on Sunday, the team will come in slightly short-handed.

Pro Bowl offensive tackle Eric Fisher tore his Achilles in the AFC Championship Game and is sidelined for the Super Bowl.

Linebacker Willie Gay is also out with a leg injury, and receiver Sammy Watkins is questionable with a calf issue.

Chiefs officially ruled out Willie Gay and Eric Fisher for Super Bowl LV. Sammy Watkins is listed as questionable.

The Chiefs’ depth chart could have looked far worse, after the team had a COVID-19 scare. Last Sunday, more than 20 Chiefs players were scheduled to get a haircut from a barber who found out he tested positive for COVID-19 while offensive lineman Daniel Kilgore sat in the barber's chair.

Chiefs’ C Daniel Kilgore was mid haircut when the barber was notified that he was Covid positive. Kilgore and the barber both were wearing masks. Kilgore has to stay home this week, but has tested negative and can return Saturday, fly with the team and play Sunday, per source. https://t.co/oWfjJX1qIr

Luckily for the Chiefs, none of their players have since tested positive for COVID-19.

As for the Bucs, receiver Antonio Brown was a full participant in Thursday and Friday’s practices. The midseason signing injured his knee in the Divisional Round against New Orleans and had been limited in practice up until the middle of this week.

The only other Buccaneers player listed as questionable on the injury report is tight end Cameron Brate, who experienced a back issue in Thursday’s practice.

Three players — Bucs’ WR Antonio Brown (knee), TE Cameron Brate (back), Chiefs’ WR Sammy Watkins (calf) — are listed as questionable for Sunday, but all are expected to play in Super Bowl LV, per sources.

Safety Antoine Winfield Jr. (ankle) is expected to play after he missed the NFC Championship Game, as is safety Jordan Whitehead, who left that game with a shoulder injury.

Super Bowl LV weather report

Weather could play a factor in the performance of both teams, who will play inside an open-air stadium on Sunday night.

Earlier in the week, the forecast called for scattered thunderstorms in the morning, then a 50% chance of rain in the afternoon, before kickoff.

According to @accuweather, thunderstorms are in the forecast for Super Bowl Sunday. The early prediction: 71 degrees with a 75% chance of rain 🤦🏻‍♂️☔️

— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) February 3, 2021

As of Sunday morning, clear skies are expected during game time.

How to watch Super Bowl LV
